 Joy Padilla Berg 

Joy has 17 years experience in public accounting.

In addition to having performed individual tax audits for the Minnesota Department of Revenue, she has held positions in small non-profit agencies as well as large corporations.

Joy's substantial experience in taxation includes specialization in self employment tax. She also has expertise budgeting and bookkeeping and performs these services for a number of self-employed clients. Joy enjoys taking continued education courses and earning CPE credits to keep up-to-date on New and Changing Tax Laws in order to get you the lowest tax liability causing you to get most refund possible.

Experience in public accounting, non-profit accounting, income tax preparation, sales and use tax, payroll, full cycle accounting. Aleathea enjoys Business/Non-profit and Full Cycle Accounting.

Laura Lodin

Professional Services Consultant 

Our Pro Services Consultant Laura Prepares Tax Returns, as well as works in Practice Management and Business Consulting.

Laura has assisted Joy over the years through various duties at BAS.  Laura joined the team full time in 2022.  Laura is an asset to the team with her many years of experience with: Growing Private Practice, Inventory and Supply Management, her skills to Improve Office Efficiency as well as her proficiency in Dental OSHA and Infection Control knowledge. This year she will be adding tax prep for individuals and small businesses. 


Tax Preparer

Experienced in the private and public financial and tax sectors, her goal is to focus on the customer and help eliminate any fear or discomfort with taxes.  Shantel has 15+ years being VITA Certified,  assists accountants with preparation of returns for complex businesses and nonprofit organizations. she works with individuals and Self Employed taxpayers  on ways to increase profits and assists with bookkeeping

Shantel also provides Notary Services.

We are looking for an experienced worker, to join our team for the Tax Season, Jan 15-May 15th 2023.

The position is Contract worker, you will answer the phones and email, set appointments, greet clients, file, manage website updates, other tasks as needed.  Please email Joy if you are interested.
